Dan Boyle will played his 1,000 game in the NHL tonight against the Red Wings.
Boyle played 431 games in San Jose, 394 in Tampa Bay, 129 in Florida, 45 with the Rangers and has a career average of 23:24 per game.
He also has 107 games of playoff experience. In college, AHL, International and Europe during the lockout, Boyle has played an additional 329 games.
On the milestone, Boyle said that it’s a lot of hard work and a special milestone.
On the season, Boyle has seen his ice time drop each month (Nov-21:45, Dec-20:21, Jan-20:19, Feb-19:20)
Boyle said last weekend that the toughest thing for him this year with the Rangers is keeping his confidence steady. He said that he is just now starting to figure out his role and getting used to playing less than he has in the past. Boyle said that he isn’t feeling the puck as much as he is used to and it’s an adjustment. (NHL.com)
